The kitchen has two windows, one facing north and the other east, both are double glazed and the latter has an opening sash. The windows offer a good view of the surrounding garden. The reveals are clad with timber, as is the ceiling. The floor is of stone flags and is heated by electrical units.

In the corner is the oil fired boiler which supplies heat to the whole building and the kitchen itself has an iron radiator.

Lighting is from downlighters or a hanging unit.

There are several electrical  power points around the room as well as a telephone connector. There is an opening double door serving  hatch into the main hall which we leave open during spring and summer to give a more open feeling.

There is fixed shelving and some fitted cupboards. The sink is a laboratory type ceramic  and has a fitted wooden drainer. There is  a fitted  work surface which is wood with some granite tiles under which is space for kitchen appliances. The splashback is from cut and polished roofing slates. The washing machine is plumbed in. The cooker has an electric oven and an induction hob. Above the hob is a filtered extractor.
